Love wines from this unheralded region: Sangiovese is so agreeable here - nothing rustic about this, so darn likable: smooth rich, full of cherries & dark fruit, just a hint of the Earth & spice - kind of wine that goes down fast you might as well open 2. Bump for QPR — 3 years ago

I simply love the smell of a good Barbera. 90pts — 13 years ago
Waited a little too long. Still very good, but it’s peaked. Lots of tropical fruit on the nose, fruit is there on the mid palate but the youthful exuberance has left. The minerality has dropped away and it’s left with tropical fruit. Medium finish — 6 months ago

3009 Foja Tonda is a very rare grape saved from oblivion by Albino Armani 25 years ago. Full body and taste, still in search of elegance, but aging time will help. Red fruits taste and long finish are a good plus. Very good. — 12 years ago
Really outstanding. Got it from cellar rat tasting July 5. Wonderfully balanced. — 7 years ago

Foja Tonda is an autochthonous grape of Vallagarina (at the border of Verona and Trento wine region), this 2000 vintage(in blend with some Cabernet Sauv.) seems to be at top of his evolution. Mature, with wide and pleasant hints of red fruits. Elegant, long, excellent. — 13 years ago

Jammy smell. First sip very strong flavor, sweet and tangy. Hints of alcohol that help to balance the flavor. Very rich and fruity flavor. — a month ago
