Pure gamey, earthy and smoky Sierra Foothills Syrah, this has aged effortlessly, balance, acidity, complexity, presents as quite French in style, my three favorite reds from Hank and Caro were always the Home Vineyard (until yields got so low I couldn’t even buy it), then the Sumu Kaw Syrah, and the Cedarville Vineyard Mourvèdre (I think the 2007 of this latter wine was the first “released” LCF red wine)!! This has 5+ years of further aging ahead, beautiful red (13.5% ABV)!! Bravo to Hank and Caro!! — 2 months ago
100% Syrah rose from the Sierra Foothills, made in honor of Susan Marks, who tragically passed away way too young. Susan loved rose, but detested the idea of using her precious Syrah grapes to make rose, and this is lovely, I believe she would have loved what her Syrah grapes turned into with this rose!! — a month ago
Youthful dark purple color in this 22-year-old Sierra Foothills Syrah, shows a little more than a kiss of new oak still (which I’d prefer it didn’t, but Susan and Jonathan preferred some clear oak influence in their earlier wines), fruit is still very fresh and moderately rich, in no way overripe, soft tannins, longish finish, kudos to S & J for this wonderful older Syrah!! — 3 months ago

Super floral, pretty, some lemon and faint pear, mineral aromas and flavors show with aeration, I so love this Viognier (75 cases in 2022, barely more in earlier years), and after 20+ years of drinking the various vintages of this wine, kudos to Jonathan and the “Susans” for making a consistently wonderful foothills Viognier year after year!! — a month ago
