Disg. 2/14 (07 base)…Always my favorite of the Lieux-Dits and without question one of the very best Blanc de Blancs Champagnes on the planet, it’s particularly special to have with some bottle age. It’s absolutely as stunning as hoped—rich and powerful with crazy depth to its layers with a deep, complex core of caramelized orchard fruit, roasted nuts, old rum barrels and candied white flowers, all with seamless integration. Clean and expressive on the nose. The ever so slightly oxidative notes is lovely. Vigorous fine mousse. Palate is crisp with a round edge.

Nice BdB, pale lemon color with aromas of citrus, floral and biscuit notes, fine bubbles and light mousse. On the palate flavors of crisp apples, pears and lemon zest with notes of warm bread and savory mineral. Long complex ending with fruit and toasty warm biscuit character. Very nice! — 3 years ago

It is crazy how fine this wine is. So fine, so tart, so complex and brilliant mousse. Nose after 15 hours is some elegant yellow fruits, mineral, saline and more mineral. Just a fresh breeze of BDB. Palate is so fine, with that gorgeous fruit, sour focused fruit, and saline for days A stunner. Great sap and concentration. — 4 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two hours. The C+C BdB Extra Brut pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with gorgeous notes of white peach, green apple, lemon bar, brioche, marzipan, and chalky minerals. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is super creamy. This is an outstanding NV champagne based on the 2019 vintage. Just over 7000 bottles produced. This is the Blanc de Blanc Grand Cru with fruit sourced from Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger from mostly the 2017 vintage and some from the 2016 vintage. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The NV BdB Grand Cru pours a light straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is youthful with notes of tart fruit: green apple, star fruit, split almonds, limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This is super fresh and easy to love, in the house style. Drink now but could easily be cellared for years.
