This is a pretty wine. Light straw with thin edges in the glass. The aromatics are lovely beginning with a sense of grass and the outdoors. Honeydew melon is prevalent alongside a bit of oak and smoke. Lemon with a touch of lime for good measure.
Minerality for days here. A ton of personality and depth for such a young Chablis. Terrific structure and good bones for the future. The acidity isn’t overpowering but still present. The palate closely follows the nose with citrus and stone fruits. More lemon zest on the long finish. Delicious and approachable and still has miles to go. — a year ago
This is Château Hauchecorne, named after a previous owner. When Philippe Ferrier bought Château Duplessis from Marie-Laure Lurton (who wanted to concentrate on the excellent Villegeorge and La Tour de Bessan) in 2015, he decided to vinify these vineyards (Garbejac and Morère) separately. Therefore, Hauchecorne is not to be confounded with the second wine of Duplessis, named "Esprit de Duplessis". Merlot and Cabernet Franc according to the back label. Solid dark red colour. Juicy red fruits, with a nice tannic bite. Can be enjoyed young with food, but I expect this to age well up to a decade. Another great Bordeaux value. Abv 14%. — 2 months ago

Rich oaky and mustiness on the nose, with notes of amber, and overripe yellow fruits, maybe even some notes of dried charcoal and freshly harvested green hay. Rich and old-world, with a light to medium body, and a well developed palate. Dry but not overly so, the minerality really shows on the finish, but in the forefront you get some oak, vegetal, grassy notes, crisp yellow fruits but not acidic, but with a spine of energy that’s distinct. — 4 months ago

Fantastic Chablis, evolving nose that shifted from balanced white floral, to lemon peel, to slightly farmy/sulfur notes. Very soft and round mouth feel, present but not overpowering acidity, lasting finish that becomes more savory and rich as it develops. — a month ago
