Da Dong w Sebastien Morin.
“The Grenache Blanc is already dry and tastes really good; the freshness and acidity are still intact, and the saltiness is well integrated. Also, the little bitterness from the slow press starting to show.” - Sunday, March 3, 2019 | Valvignères, France
“Our first Grenache Blanc. The attention we showed to the grapes before and during harvest, combined with the way we pressed, is paying off. It’s a wine full of flavours and length, which isn’t typical of 2018.” - Sunday, May 25, 2019 | Valvignères, France

Not normally a Chardonnay fan, but this is lovely. Notes of butter reminiscent of American Oak, but with enough golden apple & white flowers to balance it. Silky with hints of minerality and slate on the mid-palate. Medium acidity. — 8 months ago

Morin Père & Fils – Nuits-Saint-Georges – 2022 – Côte de Nuits – Burgundy – France 🇫🇷
Overview
A classic expression of Nuits-Saint-Georges, showcasing the appellation’s hallmark structure and depth. The 2022 vintage delivers ripe concentration while preserving the firm backbone and aging potential typical of this Côte de Nuits village.
Aromas & Flavors
Darker fruit profile with black cherry, blackberry, and plum, layered with subtle spice, forest floor, and a touch of earthy complexity. More brooding and introspective than its Côte de Beaune counterparts.
Mouthfeel
Medium to medium-plus body with noticeable yet refined tannins. Structured and firm, but still rounded, offering balance between power and elegance. The finish lingers with a savory, slightly grippy edge.
Food Pairings
Duck breast, beef bourguignon, lamb, mushroom-based dishes, or aged cheeses. Perfect for dishes that can match its structure.
Verdict
A true Côte de Nuits backbone, deeper, more structured, and built with aging in mind. Darker, firmer, yet still polished. A textbook Nuits-Saint-Georges that delivers exactly what you expect, and want from the appellation.
🍷 Did You Know?
Unlike neighboring Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges has no Grand Cru vineyards, yet it consistently produces some of the most age-worthy and structured wines in Burgundy, often outperforming expectations over time.
🍷 Personal Pick
This is my “structure fix” Burgundy, when I want Pinot with grip, depth, and a bit more attitude. — 6 days ago
