A French burgundy that tastes like a California Pinot (sorry). Cherry, but tannic. — 9 months ago
Wet rock. Raspberries. Brilliant now but this will age spectacularly. — a year ago
Got this for Christmas from my boss, I’ve never had a white Chateauneuf-du-Pape. It’s absolutely delicious! Paired very well with sushi. @Delectable Wine this is the white thank you! — 14 days ago

What a value! Grenache driven CdP, both dark and red fruits, tobacco box, herbs. — 9 months ago
2013 vintage. The Premier Cru "Clos du Roi" (or sometimes spelled "Roy") is considered by many the best vineyard in Mercurey. 2013 was a challenging vintage in many respects, but this is delicious. Intriguing nose with coffee beans and cherries, intertwined with floral and herbal impressions. Very fresh in the mouth, with juicy sour cherries, subtle spices, and a slightly rustic tannic backbone. Very good length. No signs of fatigue, I wouldn't be surprised to see this holding up well for another decade. Abv. 13%. — 2 months ago
The 2020 Beaune Clos du Roi 1er Cru has some reduction on the nose, tightness, and broody at first, though it opens after ten minutes of aeration. I like the fruit profile here, which is wild strawberry and cranberry polished by oak. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy, ripe red fruit, again, very polished by the new oak, detracting from the typicité. But it is a Beaune predesigned to seduce, and you cannot deny its cashmere finish and fresh figgy aftertaste. Charming. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, October 2024)

Fresh, crisp, minerality, citrus, stone fruit like apricot; no oak, it’s my perfect every time every day wine ; slight slight smokiness, could almost taste the gravel ..the vines were grown in the silex soil — 9 months ago

Showing well out of the gates with blackberry and earth on the nose that has more to reveal. Palate is deep and very 18, thick with fruit, tannins and mineral. But juicy and with terrific energy. Has the largesse of this 1er Cru which works well in a vintage like this. Curious to see how it evolves. — 4 days ago
