For me, one of the great wines of France. The 18 is better than 15. Nose that = First Growth Bordeaux. Stunning stunning nose of wet earth, moss, licorice, red currants, white pepper, lavender, herbs, clay, granite, graphite and so much more. Maybe even Parker’s favorite, creosote. A mesmerizing nose of elite quality. 9.8. Just an insane palate. Velvety, concentrated and with elite finesse. Sappy and pure. A bit clipped on the finish but wow is this all classy. Red fruits and melty tannins. Amazing purity and a lovely creamy effect in the midpalate. A stunning wine. With air (2+ hours) this gets so nimble, silky and elegant. This is just magic. 9.7 to 9.8. — 4 years ago

Dry, well made, white. Suttle — 6 years ago
For many years I have found this wine to be subdued and shut down and have always wondered how that’s possible but NOW this wine was so expressive it became the winner for a few days of showing. Too much to say. This is expert winemaking with real unique clean and noble style. Still no one has caught on. Trained by Allemand in Cornas. — 6 years ago
In addition to the great old-vine and oxidative elements, we still enjoyed a fairly bracing Santorini assyriko acidity and even volcanic minerallity. Bought at the winery. — 7 years ago
Carignan wine in carbonic maceration. Light garnet dress. Hyper expressive nose between black and red fruits, flowers, and roasted aromas cocoa, licorice. Silky, airy mouth, wines with a non-interventionist spirit. A beautiful glouglou, evoking the spirit of Beaujolais wines, very accessible, well foreshadowing the more elaborate cuvées of the estate.
Un Carignan en macération carbonique. Robe grenat claire. — 3 years ago
Father’s Day at Jane for mom bd. Jordon knows and likes this wine. More like a Burg in its complexity and balance and light footed profile. Yum. — 5 years ago
100% Grenache från vingård planterad 1902. Nästan Pinot-lik i doften, förförisk. Komplex men samtidigt livsfarligt klunkvänlig. Jättegod att dricka nu, ung och vig. — 6 years ago

Note: 91/100 — a year ago
Old Vine Pinot. Indelicate bouquet and slight tannic structure. — 4 years ago

Having had the Vignes centenaires cuvée right before made this seem very playful. This is a lovely wine. Lots of serious fun. — 6 years ago
Opened directly into decanter....but stole a first sip - bright cherry and pretty intense menthol out of the gate - felt illegal so waited and hour for second sip, which still had the cherry but menthol turns to soap, just overly intensely perfumed. Waited four hours. Super soft earth and delicate fruit, gorgeous with a pork shoulder. Demure, even coy - you have to keep finding it. — 6 years ago

Oh man this is so good. On one of the final frigid nights of this year this is so hitting the spot. Young but so deep, so dark, so structured and so good. Insane nose. More details later. The opulence is unreal. Huge tannins and structure to go fifty. This is giving 47 Cheval Blanc. Oh. My. Fuck. What a palate. So rich, so much energy, black fruits, opulent. Just crazy. Old vines are strutting. 1884 or 1885. Just the sickest, purest black fruit ever. Same thing when tasting Desestret’s barrel of 140 year old Syrah. Black but opulent and refined. Same thing here. Palate is stoney and velvety wirh some thick blackberry and black current fruit. Unreal tannins on the finish. Nose is a drug now. 9.9. Outrageously black fruited, maybe even the most restrained anise ever. Deep, inner earth, minerality. Man. — 3 months ago
