You’ve got to be kidding me. A 2007 Salvo Foti wine. A museum piece. Wonderful Etna Rosso minerals, herbs, deep red fruit. Thank you Alex, for finding and gifting it. — 5 months ago
Pretty color of light red, with medium intensity.
Earthy nose with raspberries, strawberries, earth, green vegetables and light forest floor.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, plums, light raspberries, spices, peppercorn, tobacco and chocolates.
Medium finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a nice Nebbiolo from Piedmont. Elegant and robust. Tangy and interesting.
Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 years.
Good by itself, and better with food.
Nebbiolo grapes were aged for 6 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

Medium light ruby garnet , wide terracotta , garnet rim . Quite discreet on the nose , herbal touches , dried rose , some dried red plum and menthol . On the palate a bit more fresh red fruits , cherry and red plum , but some dry spice and a sweet liquorice tinged medium length finish . Balanced acidity and rounded tannin, just slightly warming alcohol so I would drink this slightly cooler. This is still drinking quite well though has lost quite a bit of fresh fruit , so I would drink this sooner than later . Now and over the next couple of years . — a month ago
Like a tart, effervescent, Italian ricola. What you want Lambrusco to be, if only they sold Jeff Mangums of the stuff. — 5 months ago
Tremendous nose of cherries and still had great acid to go with the tart cherry flavor. Awesome altogether-still needs decanting. — 5 months ago
