2010 vintage. Nice fill and perfect cork. Decanted with very minimal sed. Still vibrant color a shade below ruby red. Tasted 5 mins and 30 mins after decanting. Nose slightly dirtier than expected after the funk blew off 10 mins post-decant. Medium body. Two other participants involved in tasting this mentioned a banana note, which I got after a bit of searching. It was far from a Hefeweizen gimme to be sure. Was honestly captivated by a clarion bell of exquisite, red fruit tartness at the top of the middle palate that set and reset my experience throughout at every sip. 02.22.25. — 9 days ago

Decanted separately two bottles for Christmas lunch
Took time to open and second showed benefit of longer time to open with notes of wood with earth, cassis, black cherry and a hint of earthy floor. Showed excellent performance and flavours that also possessed benefit of cellaring and results in tremendous length and finish.

The 2009 “Aux Brulées” pours a deep ruby color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe red fruits: Strawberries, blackberries, red flowers, smoked and spiced meat, minerals and fine wood. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannins and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. I found this to be relatively quiet compared to some of the other bottles we enjoyed on a night of really exceptional wine. I doubt it will be losing steam anytime in the immediate future.
