Goudgeel, High acidity, light sweetness, ripe lemon, foodwine, liqourice, minerality, complete, bright, transparant, complex, concentrated, energetic, comforting — 4 months ago
Medium deep lemon yellow , touch of gold . Quite ripe citrus fruits , orange rind , peach , ripe rear, , honey . On the palate quite rich and round with a judicious amount of residual sugar , just balanced acidity and with the citrus , honied orange rind , peach notes from nose. Slightly heavy alcohol , quite intense with ok honied length . Misses a little freshness perhaps but should age quite well , possibly more interesting and less one dimensional in a few years . Drinkable now but will last well a further 10 years . — 10 months ago
A rather lovely old gold color with tiny bubbles. The nose features pronounced dried cherries and a plethora of apples. Toasted almonds and smoke with crusty bread. There’s an element of orange peel here that’s really attractive.
100% Pinot Noir from Ambonnay from one of the undisputed masters. It’s a generous champagne with depth and structure for days. Nicely elegant and perfect for food pairings. Moderate acidity and everything is just so well integrated here. The palate follows the nose with more ripe red fruits and oak. Great length on the finish. Outstanding stuff. — 2 years ago

Pretty, mature, probably caught it 2-3 years late. Drink up. Still worth the it but man I lived this on release! — 23 days ago
