Clos du Roi Corton Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2021

Lyle Fass
9.4

Needs air but so elegant and gorgeous. Pretty. Roses, mid season. cherry, mineral and very open palate that is fleshing out minute by minute. Gorgeous, elegant tannins and very pure. Let’s see what air does. Such a wispy wine. — 9 days ago

Pernand-Vergelesses Sous le Bois de Noel et Belles Filles Pinot Noir 2014

Amazing p/q. Dark, ruby. Lots of sauvage and smoked meat on the nose. Palate is balanced and marries sweet dark fruit concentration with spice and distinct floral/herbal perfume. Nice acid giving perfect balance. Almost Nuit Village level for 1/2 the price. — 5 years ago

Pernand-Vergelesses Chardonnay 2016

Brioche, macadamia, citrus curd. Understated and taut, as the best Pernand whites have to be. This will be even more special in 5-6 years. — 6 years ago

Vigrinie Pillet Corton Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2007

What a Grand Olde Horse this must-have was: even on the down-stroke it was throwing up layers & notions & gems. Cranberries then cherries & al soft, soft, soft. Lovely, this. — 5 years ago

Do you like it? Is it delicious? Yes and yes. Do you have some chicken livers? Onions? Almond flour. Yes nuts I have it. Now cook it and then stare at the bottle when you eat. Wow — 5 years ago
