This was rich, savory showing red & black fruit, earth, game, spice & floral. Seems to be fully mature — 5 months ago
Night 1 of WineBoyz Wineapalooza. Tasted blind. Dark red, almost opaque. High-pitched nose with notes of red maraschino cherries, dark fruit, some earth, some mahogany. Big core of fruit, seems to be from a warm vintage and has some age. Lots of debate about this wine. One person thinks it's Italian, another thinks it might be Syrah. I'm in Burgundy and guess 90 Ponsot CdlR. Interesting when the reveal happens. Bottle is a leaker, looked a bit beat up. I had a bottle of this two weeks ago which was more inspiring and in much better condition. Still, very nice… — 4 years ago
Needed to pop open a bottle tonight, this Pinot seemed to fit the bill. — 13 days ago

Volatile. A decanter shake removes some of the astringency, but I’m not sold, esp at these prices. — 4 months ago
There is something herbaceous in this wine. Strawberries and cranberries and a lovely nose with a hint of green. — 3 years ago

One of the best CDLR’s in the biz showing beautifully tonight with an ultra complex and seductive bouquet of candied red cherries, rose petals, coffee beans and game meat. The palate is luxuriously silky with obvious grand cru and old vine concentration, particularly for the vintage, and there is beautiful purity and elegance to balance its power. Its spice and mineral inflicted finale just keeps on going. 07 Burgundy are in such a great spot. — 3 days ago
