Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Pinot Noir

It’s easy to overrate a wine (I do it myself all the time), but I think natural wines get more up-loved. This is a very good wine. — 3 years ago

Crozes-Hermitage Syrah 2026

Maybe it bit too full bodied for my taste, but it easily balanced itself with acidity. A fine production. — 8 months ago

Clos Saint Michel

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 2019

Mousset family has managed Clos Saint Michel for more than 6 decades, in Southern Rhône they have been active in wine for Much longer. Deep Ruby with aromas of red fruits, herb and spicy notes, blend of 40% Grenache and 30% each Mourvèdre and Syrah, all aged in older barrels. On the palate flavors of black cherry and ripe blackberry with cigar box and black pepper spice. Big firm tannins, nicely integrated, good balanced, long finish with solid ending. — 2 years ago

Les 1er Ponts Pinot Noir 2019

My notes were short on this. Quite natty (reduction). Red-fruited. Spice. Some underlying minerality and bright acidity. Good energy, but I didn’t linger much on this wine. There were better ones to drink on the table. — 9 months ago
