Dark and black fruits come out and then lend to some red fruit and while it has good depth, this wine is very smooth.

On the nose: enticing areomatics jump from the glass with dark fruit, currants, musty forest floor, smoked meat, chocolate espresso. As a nod to Karen (who some will remembered worked at Louis M. Martini decades ago—and is the nicest and best person to ever work in the wine industry) we opened this for my birthday.
