Almost brown with a little red colour in the center, typical tawny nose with alcohol, nuts and earth. On the palate first red fruits followed by strong walnut taste. Extremely long finish , at least 30 sec , brilliant — 3 years ago
So freaking good and well balanced. One of my favorite poets I’ve had. — a month ago
Pulled this out of my special collection. The cork fell apart, but I managed to get most of it out. I’ve never had a port as smooth. Smells and tastes of a really good British Christmas pudding. Shared with my lovely family and in-laws on one of our last nights in the States before heading back to Catalunya. Seems like it still has most of its character, so I would open 1985 now and not wait any longer. — 6 months ago
Not fruity but still very tasty. Definitely buy again — 2 years ago
Aged so well... — a month ago
This was a ½ bottle that I paid $12.95 back in the day. This had some jammy sweet caramel notes. It was pleasant to drink with dessert but it was its time.
The cork came out with some cracks but whole. Decanted at around 6 PM in a to-go bottle and happy I did, there was a ton of sediment. Drank at about 11 PM with NYE Dinner at Anthony’s in HH.

A little caramel on the nose and the first part of taste was not much but opened up midpalate to finish with caramel and spices.
This was a half bottle that cost $13.79 back in the day. Had this with dessert at Le Virtú in Philly — a month ago
