Evidently, their first. 300 vines of a “blend of Mencía, Caino Tinto, Souson, Palomino, Garnacha Tintorera, Godello, Brancellao and Espadeiro from a tiny single vineyard of old vines in Ribeira Sacra”, in the mountains of Galicia, made all in steel. From a mountain top in Riberia Sacra with minimal intervention and put up in large fourdes.
100 magnums bottled.
Took to a “casual” memorial for a friend , set it on the table with some other wines and liquors, pop n’ pour at will.
Delicious, dark barnyard, indeterminate fruits, brambly, bright at 14.1°. Went exceptionally well with dark shrimp gumbo among other things. Some folks who told me they weren’t fond of red wine were spotted with 2nd, 3rd gasses.
Sometimes a wacky bottle you take a chance on and leave alone in your cellar for a while is just perfect!
So long Bill…we’ll see you on the other side.

I enjoyed this rosé just as much as I enjoy the white counterpart from Vinho Verde. Light, crisp, and refreshing. Very nice acidity too. Lovely floral notes along with strawberry and raspberry. A blend of Espadeiro and Touriga National. 5/17/25. — a year ago

Very pleasingly fresh and natural for its price, showing very green with aromas of bell pepper, which mingles on the palate with green strawberry. A wine harvested early to compensate for a warm year, and though it shows, the result is tasty. — 3 years ago

Clear, pale pink in color; on the nose, it's clean with light intensity primary aromas of rose petals and citrus zest; on the palate, it's dry and slitely sparkling with medium acidity, low tannins, medium alcohol, and light intensity primary flavors of strawberry and lemon with a long finish. Destinos Cruzados was another winery that I tasted the whole gamut at the Peñín Best of Spain show and was unimpressed by, there has been some press and some mentions of this winery and I expected more and cleaner wines than I found. This wine seemed like it was the inexpensive wine of the winery and it turns out it wasn’t so inexpensive after all. All in all good quality and an interesting blend of native varieties. — 5 years ago
