Medium to dark purple with blackberries, black raspberries, potpourri, vanilla, and slight hint of pencil shavings on the nose. Very fruit forward. Medium to full bodied. This wine is true. The scents on the nose are confirmed on the palate. A touch of sweetness there, it has a lingering finish that has you pouring another glass. Had this wine with steak selection sampler at Stake on Coronado Island. Excellent pairing. Had to purchase some for the cellar and popped this while cooking for Thanksgiving. — 5 years ago

I’ve had Samsara Syrah before and was looking forward to a perfumed nose of violets and deep flavors of blueberries and blackberries backed up by muscular tannins. This bottle was different. Faint nose of something red, then mouthfuls of heavy flavor—tannic, yes, but also brambly and spicy. Reminded me of a California Zin/Syrah hybrid. Needed time to breathe and mellow. Very nice food wine to pair with beef. Had the 2017 vintage with steak tartare and boeuf bourguignon at Little Frenchie in Coronado, San Diego, CA. — 3 years ago
Trader Joe's. Very refreshing and economical. I hope it is available close to home. — 6 years ago
Very good Cab Sav at Coronado Vineyards in Willcox, AZ. Tasting with Ashley on drive from Santa Barbara — 6 years ago
Coronado is not the first name that comes to mind when thinking about good IPAs. However, I like nothing more than a deep amber beer with a slight bite. They could jack up the IBU in this brew and easily have a great 10.0 beer. Just do it!!! — 7 years ago
