Beautifully deep claret with tight tannins that required a good 1-2 hours of decanting to unlock the wine’s texture. The blend is darker fruit with an outwardly apparent Cabernet Franc element that brings violets on the nose and blackberry and brambles on the palette. Nice nose with oaky notes and currant and small red berries. There is a tiny bit of meat juice too. The palate is well made with a good width, some matter and a nice grainy mouthfeel that expand in the rear with a spherical effect before a great finish with fruits, that meat juice touch and a tiny touch of bitterness. I have had much worse Saint emilion grand cru — 2 years ago

One of my favs! Love White Burgs from the Saint Aubin region. Might want to give this a short decant for the funk to blow off. Medium plus gold color. Camomile, lemon, and hints of butter and unripe melons. Complex and well balanced. Rich, deep wine. Long finish. I’m a buyer if anyone knows where to find some. — 2 years ago
