Passion fruit and lemon. Mildly acidic with a hint of oak. — 4 years ago
Dense black plum and cherry fruit aromas that took time to appear. Initially, the nose was dominated by the scent of rubber tires. Same dark fruit flavors but they seemed a bit muted and flat. Juicy acidity comes through on the finish. Might be a bit past its prime. — 5 years ago
Bone dry Italian white I got from Wine Access. This wine is so foral on the nose and goes great with cheese. Perfect wine to start the evening. — 6 years ago
Crisp. Some barrel. Balanced. — 8 years ago
Gorgeous nose of; lightly spiced, foral; ripe candied fruits. Bright floral bouquets of red flowers and violets with just a touch of herbaceousiness.
The body is full. Tannins are thick & meaty. Ripe light and dark red fruits. Brilliant acidity. Round polished finish.
More photos of two foolish field working picking at a much slower pace than the rest of the team and the Truquilemu Vineyard we picked Sunday. — 8 years ago
CVed 11/8/17 JL HAUBS-Barzen Erben comp. Foral and pleasant nose with hay and white fruits and medium body and finish. Opened 1/6/18. more complex. Up by one. — 9 years ago
13.7% ABV Dark in color, still has foral aromatics, really good! — 2 years ago
More advanced than other 97’s I’ve had. Still grit with flowers. Always get a touch of Cognac from the mid 90’s BV Tapestry’s. Less on the 97. Beautiful, ripe, foral fruits with spice, barrel toast with evolution & integration. Incredible structure, balance. Violets for days. Still has 5-8 years.
This bottle on auction are more advanced than my bottles or others bought at auction. This is just around it’s precipice where other bottles I’ve had required more time. Another 8 years. This is more within 3 years. I would add that a 1997 94 points rating greatly over shadows a young(ish) vintage of the same. Just gets better and better with each sip.
1997 the vintage of our modern times. This wine was about $25 on release, give or take. Today, it drinks like a $100 plus bottle of Napa Cabernet. — 3 years ago
Honestly, I was thinking a red blend from Portugal?! Very skeptic but this blend is actually quite nice. Hints of blue and boysenberry on the nose but on the palate it’s a complex and richer, deeper red taste like blackberries and a bit of rhubarb; slightly acidic. Super cheap but doesn’t taste cheap. — 5 years ago
— 7 years ago
Firm cinsault with strawberry and foral nose. Good tannins to make it a good cinsault. — 8 years ago
Solid viscosity with foral notes. Nice cool coast wine. — 8 years ago
Colorful and vibrant in the nose. Superb consistency. Fruity and foral taste. Gentle finish. — 2 years ago
Not as full-bodied as other Touriga blends - a good AP red. — 3 years ago
3,99 at pingo doce; absolutely delightful. Lemon limey, strawberry, slight effervescence. I could drink this all day — 6 years ago
— 8 years ago
Softly frizz refresh — 8 years ago
Cherry liqueur, dried blackberries, black currants, bay leaf, dried oregano, white pepper, creme yvette. Fresh acidity, medium bodied, satin texture, mild smooth velvet tannins, herbal-smoky-slightly foral/fruity finish. Great fruit/herbal balance, aromatics evolved in glass. Decanting recommended for this producer. I’m drinking this too young, still really enjoyable, has the structure to be phenomenal, cellaring will be rewarded. — 9 years ago
