Not a fan of cognacs and hard stuff but this is definitely one of the smoothest strong drinks I have ever tried — 3 years ago
Amazingly smooth and the after bite is fire. I am very impressed well worth the buy!!! — 5 years ago

Heaven in a bottle! — 4 years ago
Chocolate ganache nose sows lime zest and cedar, vanilla panna cotta, lemon tart, hazelnut, absinthe film, and orange rind across a semi-hot surface that resembles an exotic, forgotten cocktail; tea biscuit, lavender and creme caramel. An olfactory feast that endlessly inspires. Soft and warm palate with herbaceous thyme, chive, cilantro, basil afloat on vanilla-caramel, lemongrass, tea tree oil, bay, lemon zest, lime pith, and candied lemon. Cappuccino and bakers chocolate, spun sugar, dark brown sugar, apple blossom honey, treacle, baklava, pine nut, pecan, and coffee cookie. Most interesting is the layers of cascading flavors maintain their original impact while generously allowing the next to shine seamlessly. I have had this many times sans analysis, without fully appreciating its impeccable composition. A triumph! .

Hard to beat for the price,
K&L notes,
The pristine condition of this stunningly copper-colored brandy is inspiring - it's gorgeous. In the nose there are delicate fragrances of spice, sesame seed, light oak, and baked pears; seven more minutes in the glass bring out pineapple, light toffee, milk, and brown sugar. The palate entry is elegant, composed, and moderately sweet in more of an oaky than a fruity way; by the midpalate stage, there's flavor evidence of ripe pear, white grapes, cake frosting, Oloroso sherry, orange peel, and dark honey. End up sugary sweet, satiny textured, and long in the throat. 4 Stars - Highly Recommended - Spirit Journal - F. Paul Pacult 40% ABV

I don’t drink very much cognac and can’t remember when or where I picked up this bottle, but a small pour sounded good to end a cold and snowy day. Light in color. Body feels light at first, but gains viscosity. Spicy, oaky, and a little astringent on the finish. It reminded more of some really good scotch I’ve had than of some slightly sweeter cognacs. I liked it a lot. — 4 years ago
At least 15 years of age on this VSOP from a family-owned producer. 40% abv. Very fragrant scotch-like vanilla oak and dried fruit. Complex and spicy finish. Goes well with dates and salted almonds as a digestif. Sipping it neat by a Christmas tree, but it also really wakes up with an ice cube🎄 Not Henny! 🙌 — 5 years ago
