Takes time to open but does to a clearly right bank style, some dark fruit, violets and some oak but without excess, the palate is dense and rich without any heavyness, nice volume with tannins that still show some power but qith such a nice silky texture, very Pomerol in stulw. It is a very good bottle without being grand.
92-93 — 3 years ago
Light to med/light limpid purple... actually looks more like Pinot or Gamay in the glass. Light aromas of raspberry, tart cherry, slight metallic, and forest- floor. I like the weight, the lifted savory dryness, the lightness of the wine as it glides over the palate. Not a hint of sweet, of Jam, or over-ripeness. It caresses food, but might otherwise commit the unpardonable sin of falling into “good” rather than something more grandiose... but tonight, with good pizza and watching Biden’s speech... “good” is more than acceptable. — 4 years ago
Impressed. Grows on you with every sip. Rustic winemaking style for Xinomavro, yet leading to a grandiose outcome. — 10 months ago
Superb nose of mineral, lemon zest, pink grapefruit and wonderful lime flesh and zest. Gorgeous mineral depth here. Lots of earth as well. Almost a Burgundian interpretation of Sancerre. Juicy and insanely complex palate that is finesse driven and so delicate. Wonderful sap and has a grandiose quality to it and finish that does not quit. Hugely concentrated but never heavy and a gamey/savory element on the palate. So sappy and pure. Round like Keller can be. Just a gorgeous bottle. Blown Away. Will last 10-15 more years. — 2 years ago

Gloriously rich and juicy. The grandiose quality of Hermitage on full display. Nose is all yellow fruits and palate is so elegant, juicy and fresh. Remarkable finesse and grand cru grip and structure. Outstanding. — a month ago
