Bee Hunter Wines Greenwood Ridge Vineyards Late Harvest Riesling 2014, Anderson Valley, California
Deep yellow in color with a golden 24 carat hue.
Beautiful nose of yellow apples, ripen pears, minerals, tropical fruits, apricots and spices.
Fill bodied with high acidity.
Sweet on the palate with pears, apricots, honey, apples, tropical fruits and spices.
Long sweet finish.
This is a delicious Sweet Riesling from Anderson Valley. Nicely balanced and rich, with lots of acidity to balance the sugars.
This 7 year old is drinking beautifully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
Showing great complexity with beautiful flavors. Good by itself as a sipping wine.
I paired it with a chocolate cake, but I preferred it all by itself.
A special selection that was only produced in this vintage. Very special.
9.7% alcohol by volume.
94 points.

My previous bottles were from the 2011 vintage. This was a decent year for ripening and Riann made good use of round CF and Merlot profiles. Suprising balance with this one - acid and tannin were countered by even fruit distribution from entry to finish. I will probably grab another from Greenwood Market. Good value at 24$. β 7 years ago
Golden brown hue, very good clarity. Lovely perfumed aroma, familiar but canβt describe it. Complexity of flavor, semisweet, light carbonation. A surprising find, but even the cidery forgot which heirloom varieties went into this. Just enjoy if you can find it β 2 years ago

Very light a fruity, went well with the Duck evening meal I had... β 8 years ago
Pale golden color, excellent clarity, light carbonation, no head on pour. Label notes use of three hops: Citra, Centennial and Crystal, all dry-hopped. Good basic apple flavor profile, with pine and citrus aromas. Not sure about tropical aroma notes mentioned on label, but βdry, tart and aromaticβ claims are accurate. A good quaff if not quite what I expected. 7.8% ABV. Seems to be a solid cider producer; check them out. β 4 years ago
Moderate carbonation, little to no head on pour, medium sized bubbles. Golden brown in color. Perfumed apple profile in aroma. 7.8% ABV. Almost dry, somewhat astringent, slightly bitter, fruity finish, tasty while not sweet. High alcohol and dryness work well together, good acidity but not all that malic in character. Not a session cider but well made. Label claims flavor profile of apple peel (yes), lime (undertone of it) and fresh straw (also yes). Creative but unidentified mix of dessert apple and rare and scavenged varieties. β 4 years ago
