Tarry and light. Amazing nose of tar, forest, soil, red berries, sassafras, liquorice…
That palate is completely addictive, tannins quite present, this is after 10 hrs slo-ox and 2 hrs decant.
Such a savory delight. With Jambon de Bayonne and manchengo, delicious. It’s difficult at a sidewalk bistro lunch to encapsulate just how magnificent this is.Even in small tumblers it shines through.
Nose for days…and then the palate is ethereal.
A protein involved wine.

Nose: crazy density. Very complex. Mineral. Lots of hard to define flavors. Candied lemon peel? Almost an elegant nuttiness? White flowers as it opens. Wisps of vanilla. Lemon flower. Yellow melon. 9.7 nose. At least.
Palate: elegantly rich. Sweet minerals. Elegant balancing acidity. Delicious. So juicy. There is something so expansive about the palate presence. Lacks elite density or this would be higher.
Wow. Maybe the greatest white burgundy value ever.
Changes in the glass. A fascinating drink. Really. Just get a baguette, some butter and smoked fish and hang out for an evening. Maybe some Camembert. O

Upper class Gamay, marked by aging in oak barrels. Deep and concentrated. Evocation of Burgundy in classical style close to Château des Jacques. The fruit is set back, and the charm of gamay is not fully expressed, trying to play in the course of Pinot-noir without having the vertical character, imprint of the terroir. The 5 years of guards brought unity to the whole and a beautiful general outfit.
— 3 years ago

Definitely a more feminine wine out of Gamay grape. Lilac flowers, earthy and woody on the nose. Cherry, cranberry on the palate.
A more peppery on the back-end, well-rounded and silky with a beautiful length on the finish. It can be served as an aperitif standalone or paired white meats.
