Rhys Vineyards Home Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014: Soft delicate balance. Beautiful structure. Bright red fruits. Licorice. Menthol. Spice. It’s perfection in a bottle minus a little mold on the label. All in all, a local beauty leaving me saying “there’s no place like ‘Home’”! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago
Paired with home made Focaccia with homegrown garden Cherry yellow and red tomatoes. Superb 2016 Clos from Droin that seems to he coming together now after my first bottles that were not up to the standard of that good domaine. Lemon curd, sea salt, some white orchard fruit, great minerality and salinity coupled with depth, richness, and this nice tension, making it balanced, vibrant with a savoury lengthy finish. 92-93
92-93 — 4 years ago

Worth the wait. High alcohol is my only con. Very enjoyable at home with Lucia salumi. — 4 years ago
Yum!! Wonderful aged notes of sweet tobacco, raisins, and honey greet you as they are lifted from the vibrant dark red fruit of current and dark plum and supported with fine polished tannins leading it to a mouth smacking finish. Ahhh, one of those rare wines that elevated your spirit to a higher place. Visited the winery last summer and hand carried the wine back home. Paired fantastically with Tammy’s from scratch Italian dish of sweet Italian spiced tomato sauce and over penne noodles and Italian sausage. — 2 years ago
8/15/20 at parents with mix of home cooking and spicy take out from Bear Chinese place. The most unusual Prosecco with second fermentation in bottles without disgorging and so it’s cloudy. Interesting complex nose with minerals and some funk. Very lively texture and a bit sour that’s perfect for the mix of food. From Moore Brothers. Next day about 120ml in less than full Cali bottle so bubbles are gone but the essence remains. The nose is now more mature white fruits with hints of mild ginger and the texture is almost creamy. Yum. Excellent. Upping a pointer 9.2. Best Prosecco I’ve ever tasted. — 4 years ago

Roasted bell pepper, chunky, meaty grenache. Inky and chalky at the same time. Heavy flowers. Hot dusty tiles in summer time. There’s a lot to write home about, but not everything is in its right place. Good right now and maybe great in the near future. Time will tell. — a month ago
