Pale lemon color with aromas of stone fruits and blossom and spice, aged 14 months in (25% new) French oak. On the palate flavors of apple and pear with a touch of zesty lemon, crisp, with cinnamon and vanilla notes. Bright minerality and mouth-watering acidity; exactly what I want out of a Riesling. The nose shows crisp pear, lime zest, crushed rock, and plastic pool toy. The mid-palate and finish are like lightning. This isn’t going to change your life and peel back layers of complexity, but this demonstrates how extremely clean and refreshing cool climate Riesling can be. — 7 years ago

There’s an awful lot to like here for @$30. Beautiful ample nose of ripe pear and tart apple. Round, rich attack in the mouth, more weight than anticipated. Very pleasant to pop and pour... drinks very well already. ABV listed at 12.9, the wine shows nice acid/fruit balance and little noticeable oak.. I assume barrrels were 2 or 3 year old. Grapes from four very good vineyards..Rorick Heritage, Heron Lake, Haynes Old Vine, and Brousseau. Nice partner tonight for Veal Piccata and simple cheesy fettuccini. — 6 years ago
