Oh yea baby. Smokey, fruited, well aged. Big but not obnoxious. Complex. — 4 months ago
Jack and Jamie Davies revived the historic vineyards and cellars in 1965. Today, their son Hugh, continues their mission. 100% Chardonnay pale straw color with aromas of stone fruits, floral and citrus notes. A terrific crisp sparkler with crisp apple, peach and lemon flavors, fine mousse with tiny bubbles. Tangy acidity on a long finish ending with a yeasty creamy character. Nice! — 7 months ago

Just a wonderfully crafted & delicious VIRGINIA CS - at 7.5yrs old, the concentration and density were in stride. Richness without losing balance. well done, Michael.! Rich black cherry, dark chocolate, and thyme combine for a wonderful red meat companion — 5 months ago
Always suspect of ‘cute’ labels. But this is pretty tasty for an inexpensive Aussie Shiraz. Lots of fruit- strawberry- a bit of white pepper- light tannins- 14%. Would be a nice cook out wine. Hard to dislike. — 7 months ago
Interesting cool climate cab led Aussie Bordeaux…think I left it too late to drink it, best at 5-7 years given freshness in winemaking style? — a month ago

Fantastic at eight years old! Vibrant dark/red fruit… a touch of thyme and a pinch of rosemary. Michael Shaps built this and you can tell. Fantastic attack (cherry sweetness) and the mid palate is just a tango of balance (slightly stewed fruit and herbs)…
Medium finish but delightful in staying inside the boundaries for what this wine is meant to do — 22 days ago
