Balvenie Doublewood 12yr - the nose is light with a hint of wood. On the palate you get a bit more power and a full mouth warmth. Finish gives you more of that wood and heat. It’s a good, easy drinker. Won’t go out of my way to get but wouldn’t feel bad if given a dram. — 6 months ago
Intense rioja, will age very well — 5 days ago
Soft flex for Norman. This bottle of 15-year was not up to par, unfortunately. It lacked complexity and a lot of the typical flavor profile elements. It tasted hotter than usual, and there was a fair amount of peat, which is not right. Still, it beats Jim Beam.

Rowan’s Creek - vanilla. Smooth. Bartender said it was the master distiller’s favorite Willett because “it tastes like bourbon.” — 2 months ago
Seven local grape varieties. Sciaccarello, Carcajolu-Neru, Morescono, Alaehco, Nielluciu, Montaneccia and last but not least Morescola! Great selection — 5 months ago

CvNE’s Grand Reserva and the Imperial Reserva are two of my go-to Rioja.
Aromas of dried cherry, tobacco, and leather mingle with ripe plum, vanilla, and subtle toast. On the palate, it shows both savory depth and sleek fruit purity, framed by fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity. Earthy spice and mineral tones anchor its Old World core, while polished oak and plush fruit nod to New World opulence.
This bottle has matured gracefully and will have another 5 years peak drinking window. — 5 days ago
