#AgedWineTuesday
Inky in color with a short reddish rim. Not showing much age.
Gorgeous nose of black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, cocoa, cola, light alcohol, tobacco leaf, light herbs, black pepper and Mediterranean spices.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, bitter herbs, spices, oak, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, earth, dark chocolates and black pepper.
Long finish with soft tannins and cherries.
This is a delicious 15 year old Syrah from Napa Valley. Elegant and robust. Rich and extracted.
Showing nice complexity at this point, and needs a couple of hours to open up properly.
A great sipping wine, that will also pair nicely with food.
A blend of 80% Syrah, 17% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. 1,000 cases produced.
15.5% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Nice - not overly jammy, and with a distinct taste of orange peel. — 3 months ago
Oaky and exactly what I wanted. Some creaminess and a tad hot but overall good. — 7 months ago

Scott@Mister A’s-San Diego
2001 vintage. Great fill and cork. Decanted with respectable sed and chilled down to the upper 50’s. Tasted after 30 mins and two hours. Medium heavy body. Moist dirt, graphite and black olive nose. Dark chocolate and fudge sludge with some finishing, earthy leanness. Powerful and approx a half-decade past the top of the bell curve but still pretty good. Should hang out in this area for another3-4 years. 7.27.24. — 2 months ago
