Pomelo, citron qq notes miellées — a year ago
Best wine from france — a year ago
Brilliant yellow-gold color. Aromas of pineapple, mango, apple and vanilla. Bright yellow delicious apple leads the palate along with hints of honey and savory spices. Nice mouthfeel and some noticeable vanilla on the medium-long finish. Texture is slightly creamy/syrupy and there is some noticeable RS. — a year ago
A very palatable Chardonnay sourced from a vineyard located in Vergisson, which faces the prominent “Roche de Solutré” within <6 miles from Macôn. It displays all about balance between acidity and creaminess, white florals on the nose, some appealing citrusy notes, yet an inviting minerality provides a great balance as soon the wine navigates through your palate. Overly clean with some distant Quincy notes as well. It is a splendid casual sipper! — 4 months ago
The Mâcon-Vergisson, Cuvée Antonine Lachaize is a distinctive Chardonnay sourced with grapes from less than 6 miles from Mâcon, sharing and facing same terroir of the famous domaine “Roche de Salutré, it provides an authentic baked pear aromas, well-balanced on the mid-range palate with some yellow apples taste and a very soft toasted notes. Barely any cream or butter-like mouthfeel, and stays on the lighter side, not lingering finish. — a year ago
2024/9. While it doesn’t quite have the scale or depth of the more prestigious appellations, all the elements are here - lemon confit, cream, stone, a little toast — 10 months ago
@Delectable Wine - This is not a “white blend”; it’s Chardonnay.
This is high-level Macon. Nose has wonderful fruit with notes of apple, pear, and even peach, drizzled over stones plucked from a cool mountain stream. How’s that for imagery, huh? Also a very subtle toasty, buttery note that suggests barrel fermentation. I have no idea whether it is or not (probably not), but it is what it is. In the mouth the balance is very nice, with acids, stony minerals, and a bit of pure stone fruit in equal measure. Love this. — a year ago
