This is a 2012 Martial Zin. Very good! Surprising so. It was part of a wine club offering, so I didn't have high expectations. Marital is a small case winner we discovered from a sales rep from Chateau Montelena. I would buy on its own regardless of my wine club. Usually a Cab and Pinot guy. — 7 years ago

Intense dark fruits & spices intermingled with perfumed essence of prune, fig, molasses, menthol, clove, licorice, and sweet cherry pipe tobacco. Reminds me of a more feminine aged Caymus SS 👌🏻 Delicious but lacks the staying power. Structure feels a bit loose, almost as if it’s disintegrating and unraveling at a quicker-than-normal rate. — 6 years ago
