Guenoc/Langtry are constantly changing their labels and branding, not that this is confusing to their consumers or anything 😾
Still, this Claret is reliable vintage after vintage; a triumph of the vinting and mixing arts over the slings and arrows thrown by outrageous nature.
This wine has the expected slight oak with cherry mocha fruits and a smooth drinkable body.

Merlot fronted Bordeaux blend from Santa Ynez (43% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon). Much better with time to breath. Mixed berry fruit, tobacco, and subtle black licorice. Acidity stands firms and outshines tannins on the palate. Super fresh and juicy forest fruits pervade. Think pasta or grilled chicken pairing. Cool label artwork too! — 8 years ago

Delectable this was the Pinot Noir. Having a nice pre performance meal prior to the “Book of Mormon “ at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre - Lyric Theatre - which was hilarious I thought. The wine was young, my first 2018 Red - fresh and simple. Some foresty and red fruit aromas. Good intensity for the price. — 7 years ago

Really wet and jammy, nice purple and some acid, bosenberry and blackberry, slightly leather and grip — 8 years ago
Delicious and not too expensive ($28 at vine arts). Not dry, young grapes but well made.
We will drink this again!

Very fruity smell, heavy citrus, maybe grapefruit? This was the house wine with the Beaux-arts menu. Nice to drink, although not overly sweet. — 9 years ago
Nice and crisp. Would have said Oregon Pinot, if I didn’t know better. Floral bouquet with a hint of spice. Like it. — 5 years ago
Nice light easy drinking red... Good flavours. — 7 years ago
Blend of 95% Grenache and 5% Syrah, notes of pink grapefruit, fresh raspberry and a bit of earth and spice — 8 years ago
Terrific dinner at the National Arts Club on Gramercy Park Square with some new friends. Having enjoyed Petrolo's top wine yesterday, I decided to stay with the same producer today and so I brought along their entry level wine, but from 2000 so there was a fair bit of age to it. Quite advanced with mostly tertiary notes but retaining vibrancy, it showed really well. Peak drinking. — 8 years ago
