Sweet, vanilla and honey, great desert wine. — 2 months ago
2014 vintage. Drinking as a more traditional St. Estèphe here vs lusher, newer vintages. In a great place currently and showing well. Not ridiculously expansive and otherworldly but doesn't need to be in the mid-$40's resto cost. Checks so many boxes. Leaner, chiseled and durty. Classic Stèphie. 1.30.25. — 20 days ago
Epic vintage that is just starting to open up. Accessible but a lot more complexity should develop with time, based on the secondary characteristics that started to show with air — 4 months ago
Beautiful, purple-red, well balanced somewhat young, very nice in a couple years — a month ago
A turning point vintage for the Domaine. I don’t think anyone faired better. 2013 Perrieres while still young, is in an amazing spot, showing both richness and energy wafting spiced ripe yellow fruit, pastry cream and white flowers layered in stony minerality. The palate is full and expansive with fabulous density, focus, balanced acids and a long finish. White burg at its finest…And now these Diam corks (which began in this vintage) give aging Lafon peace of mind 😅 — 2 months ago
