I like Liason in all shapes and sizes and 2020 has a lot to say without any pointy angles.
It's the one with a heavier hand, in cloudy maroon velvet sweats. Brighter and overt, the loyalists might miss some delicacy.
That familiar natty nose, with rolling perfumed volatility and stemmy, woodsy notes. Textured, syrupped, candied sweet cherry and rosemary for a mixed cocktail. — a year ago
1hr+ decant. Red, maroon, prune color. Dark stewed fruit with some floral elements on the nose. Nose and flavor weren’t connected. Wine was pretty one dimensional with no real standout characteristics. Medium minus depth and finish. Not bad, had higher expectations. — 3 months ago
Wine pours a dark maroon. Wonderful flavors of cherry pie, vanilla, and other berries and plum. Fairly acidic, moderate tannins and an excellent vegetable finish. The wine was a perfect complement to our prime rib and steak dinner the first night of our Christmas 2023 cruise. A definite rebuy-a good value in the premium Napa wines. — a year ago
Winery in the movie “A Good Year”. PnP. Wine has a big barnyard, cow shit nose; which I kind of like. Dark red, deep maroon color. Lovely texture with low alcohol. Nice balance of cherries and plums, with earth and terroir. Love the uniqueness and rich depth. — 2 years ago
1hr+ decant. Maroon color on the pour but darkish red in the glass. Aged Bordeaux on the nose with cedar and floral elements. Palate reflects the same with dark cherries, tobacco, and anise. Medium plus depth and medium finish. Right in my wheelhouse! — 5 months ago
Needed a moment to breathe. Super smooth— went great with grilled venison blackstrap — 3 years ago

PnP. I’d drink sooner rather than later. Dark red color with maroon edges. Cedar, Stewed Fruit, and cherries on the nose and palate. Medium depth and finish. Probably a tough vintage. — 5 days ago
