Maurizio Sòt is a superstar. This is a rockstar wine. Nose is so unique and aromatic. Red cherries, herbs, sweet roses, sweeter darker cherries, amazing perfume. The brilliance of 2016 Barolo at the village level is not talked about enough. Glorious spice after 15-18 minutes now. Just glorious. Oh the palate. Sweet and decadent and precise with super sappiness on the finish. Gorgeous red fruits, strawberry, even a hint of red delicious apple, and so many cherries. Amazing precision and depth.
