Agree w others it is quite cedar especially initially. Becomes more of a lingering aftertaste as it opens — 3 years ago

This bottle over delivers on price - great value! Steamed rice and grapefruit aromas lead to a complex nose which is fun. It’s silky smooth texture, heavy on the mineral side, but pairs well with some great Asian spices and fried foods. — 4 years ago

It’s a classic. I thought it got better as it chilled off. It was a bit syrupy and sweet at first. Cooled off it was delightful for me. Interesting as the other bottle was the opposite. — 3 months ago

Light with an oiky texture. Floral aromatics and palate with hints of fruit and a honeyed tones. Delicate yet palate coating. — 3 years ago
This green can, made from the newest/youngest rice of the season and dated with a manufacturing date of Nov '21 is delicious. It offers a subtle aroma and similar sweet entry as the gold can version but much better of the alcohol so it doesn't have a burning hot finish. Good with some steamed edamame as a pre dinner warm up. — 4 years ago
Nice, simple, and smooth. Neutral flavor makes it a good sake to pair with sashimi. — 5 years ago

Sharaku Junmai Ginjo — Miyaizumi Meijo, Fukushima
Technicals: Junmai Ginjo · Gohyakumangoku rice · 50% polish · 16% ABV · SMV +1 · Acidity 1.4
Aroma: Peach, Muscat grape, melon and soft banana.
Palate: Fresh and fruit-forward with a silky, moderately rich texture. Ripe peach and melon up front, followed by gentle rice umami and bright acidity. A touch of sweetness through the middle gives way to a bitter edge and a clean, crisp finish.
Notes: Polished and balanced. There’s enough fruit and sweetness to give it presence, but the acidity and bitterness keep it from becoming heavy. Classic Sharaku combination of expressive fruit, richness and a clean finish but this one has a strong bitterness that doesn’t fade cold or warmth and is distracting. — 2 days ago
