Crisp a bit fruity, light and good aftertaste — 6 months ago
Flinty struck match with funk driven complexity. Under ripe white peach and grapefruit - crushed rocks and salinity on the medium bodied palate, however the intensity is bordering on the profound. See previous Delectable notes. Winner of the James Halliday Chardonnay challenge from 630 entries. Had another bottle 15 weeks later on 21st January 2024 with consistent notes. Funky, flinty and smoky. Ripe grapefruit on palate. 2 bottles left. Will save one for a 2015 vintage Chardonnay blind tasting with friends later in the year. — 9 months ago
Blackberry, fruity, easy to sip and drink.. Very pleasant — a month ago
Stopped off at a lifelong friends apartment. He likes wine but it does not go beyond that. Says to me after pulling several bottles ( including 2 Rockford BP) from the corner of a very warm room, “What should I do with these wines?” Trying to remain calm, I said , “I think you need to open one.”
Surprisingly, the cork was intact, but totally soaked to the top. What we encountered was a red/purple wine that looked like it was bottled a few years ago. The nose was big and full of dark fruit along with some oak but zero alcohol Taking a small taste I was absolutely taken back by the juiciness & deep plummy flavors swirling around my mouth. I noted very little secondary flavors but the level of acidity shocked me. Tannins were soft and the fish was modest. — 3 months ago
Second bottle after Bin 389. I like this one more. Beth liked Bin 389 more. This felt smooth but powerful relative to Bin 389. — 3 years ago
Sadly the last of the 2006 vintage left in the cellar. 18 years down its drinking better than ever with the old Shiraz notes seeping through peppers and mint. Just bloody lovely! — 2 months ago
An old favourite Pinot Noir chosen off the Wine List at Blowfish Broadbeach. Red fruits and confectionery. A lovely volume to the medium weight palate with excellent mouthfeel - supple tannins. Always enjoyable - from the Adelaide Hills. — 4 months ago

At the Henschke weekend at Spicers Maryvale. Brief Notes. Multi vintage - 100% Pinot Noir grown on the Henschke Lenswood vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. I love Blanc de Noir, Egly Ouriet being a favourite. This is also very good and good value. — a month ago
