2002. Wow. Beautiful and elegant. Only 10% abv according to the label but I’d guess higher. Petrol, honey, Corn Pops cereal, dill, mandarin oranges, golden raisin. This is amazing. — 7 months ago
After 14 years, quite an impressive showing. The usual two players-Mr. Tanin and Mr. fruit -still working together and near perfect harmony. It was a delight to drink. — 10 months ago
Beautiful example of skin contact wine. Dried strawberry and juicy stone fruit with an herbaceous hint — 7 months ago
Crisp, bright, and with stone and some tropical fruit. So so good! — 10 months ago
My dessert wine for my annual CC hosting.
I’ve only had a handful of SQN dessert wines, as well as Kracher wines, so I was curious how this would show with 16yrs on it.
Almost amber colored in the glass. 100% marsanne. Honeyed peach and orange marmalade aromatics with sweet baking spices too. Decadent and viscous crème brûlée, orange roasted cashews, and toffee notes that while sweet, doesn’t come across as too sweet or intense. Not zippy, but not flabby either. No rush here. An absolute treat to enjoy. — 2 years ago
Brambley blackberry little touch of forest floor pleasing dusty tanins — 3 months ago
This is a delicious PetS, not too jammy. It has intense blueberry and raspberry flavors, with that distinctive undertone, peculiar to Washington reds, and tastier than it sounds,, of chocolate-covered mushrooms. — 3 months ago
Aromas slightly similar to sauterne (that noble rot smell) bit with candied orange peel, a big body with sweet mandarin oranges in the syrup juice bit with some acid to cut through. My kind of dessert wine! — 9 months ago

Experienced this producer last year and wasn’t a fan but everyone deserves a second chance….Mr Prieure is redeeming himself…..Sommelier was a big fan too, recommending this over some other big names…..tasting notes: very light and delicate, scents of pickled cucumber (yes, really) and rhubarb. Not our usual deep berry concentration, this one is much more sophisticated, and deserving of the occasion and venue! — 22 days ago
