Nice legs. Rich with tannins. It needs ample time to breathe. Good with buttery steaks. — 4 years ago
Anniversary— enjoyed with ribeye steaks — 4 years ago
My belated birthday dinner wine; had this with mesquite-grilled hangar steaks with chimichurri. A sentimental favorite winery. The nose has loads of focused cassis, graphite, dry underbrush. Classic. In the mouth, it seems young-ish still: nicely-concentrated, but with still a few elbows from the tannins and the alcohol, which haven’t quite fully integrated. The flavors are clingy, with the cassis and graphite amping up a bit from the nose and lingering. Really nice wine. — 3 years ago
From magnum. Cork and wax were a mess. Totally disintegrated and required the coffee filter and everything just to pour and decant the wine
3 hour decant before dinner. Paired with wagyu ribeye steaks. Amazing. This wine was just balanced and smooth. Just delicious. — 8 months ago
Amazing wine with steaks @ Cole Farms... Very balanced and deep layers of oak ripple through and longer on the palate. — 4 years ago
This was a stunning wine from our cellar, enjoyed on Christmas Day 2020 to accompany Japanese wagu steaks! Beautifully balanced and velvety finish!! This vintage is 92% Cab, 7% Petite Verdot and a mere 1% Merlot. Loved it! — 4 years ago
Well... it’s not bold journey that’s for sure.
Smells stronger then it tastes.
A top 10 wine bar in Omaha and surrounding areas? Hmmmm.......
Maybe it’s because of the sammy’s....it IS a wine AND deli. — 5 years ago

Color is a dark blue-purple. Dark fruit, baked blackberries and cassis are the primary aromas followed by black tea and spice with a lingering touch of eucalyptus. Still tastes a little young with some heat but mouth coating and filling the palate with blackberries, cocoa, leather, and espresso beans. A medium plus jammy finish. Will go well with our New York bone in steaks. — 6 months ago
