My first Greek wine. I love my ouzo still. Don't like mythos beer. Loving Greece and Greek and their anarchist ways. And tarmasalata and skordalia 😋
Light and pale green(ish) 👁️
Whole citrusy (fruit, pith and Peel) with some noted maturity of 🧀 ,olive brine And seasalt. And Some freshly chopped green herbs close by 👃
It screams: I'm complex!
High acidity attack.
Then this assorted citrus variety with the herbs on the side. Many layers of taste come with sweetness and bitterness hints coming and going 👄
Long and pleasent 🎯
This is next level shit.
Paired well with my baby's simple quinoa with added tahini and shug (Yemen chilly sauce).
Plain oysters or grilled fish/seafood would be more appropriate.
Not on the cheap side (119 nis) for my usual white allowance but this is from better territory so good vfm.

Latest vintage of the amazing 904 @ £36 that's showing great potential 👍 good 91-92 now, fab 93-96 in 3-5yrs 😉
🍷 Dark ruby w/ light brick hint
👃 Thick smokey toasty oak through spiced creamy cherry & vanilla pie covered in balsamic jam, liquorice ouzo & cocoa sprinkles w/ prune n leather slappy
👄 Med velvety smooth slight sweet spiced cherry & vanilla body in med acidity that needs air w/ a tart strawberry balsamic undertone

Popped and poured; no formal notes. This was a charming blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Assyrtiko. With notes of grapefruit, herbs, lemon and minerals. Sauvignon Blanc was the leading role. Acid was ripping, and worked really well with Ouzo mussels, squid and vinegar marinated octopus. — a year ago
Nearly colorless... If this were a diamond, it would be a G. Some floral notes with stone fruits. Palate a hint of pineapple, with a muted anise (almost thought I was drinking an ouzo). Nothing special but it's nice to experience another grape.

Ouzo bay with Bj and Christina - one of my favorites — 10 years ago
A fine anisette with a level of sweetness less than Sambuca. — 2 years ago
A absolute steal at $35, this Rioja is aging beautifully and I’d say 2022 is the perfect time to drink this. A light, tawny color. A nose of cranberries, cherries, leather, tobacco and what I’m calling a fresh goat cheese. The palate is perfectly balanced. Lots of intense, bright fruit with a wonderful acidity that reminds me of ouzo or lemon curd. The finish is long and smooth with some leathery and cedar notes. Nearly perfect structure. Wow. — 2 years ago
Lovely crushed berries make up the nose, like a jam making factory at first pressing.
Fruit leather black raspberry, Ouzo like anise, grit from the cherry pit, blanched plum.
Ending in tonsil smacking cedar stave,

Confidently red and blue fruit forward—fresh and macerated, ballasted by earth. The palate is stunningly smooth—those tannins are well-integrated, and the fruit leads the way, but it welcomes some lavender and violet notes. Tart and ripe, even giving a hint of…ouzo? Yeah, licorice! And a whiff of smoke. It has a kick, a spice, and a…can a girth be slender? This wine is broad and, at the same time, dialed in. The finish lingers, a long purple-y road. — 3 months ago
