Decanted for about 2-3 hours before serving. Incredible nose and flavor profile. Very gamey. Lots of stewed fruit. Little medicinal. But came through and paired exceedingly well with lamb kebabs.
Had a little funk as it aired out but really sang at hour 4-5. Good grip. Will be excited to open the next one — 4 months ago
Medium ruby hue. Aromatic bouquet of red fruits with a matching palate. Plush and elegant. Well worth cellaring. A solid example of Grenache-dominant Chateauneuf-du-Pape. 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah. — 18 days ago
Wow! Can quaff in summer, goes down easy, Go for it! — 2 months ago
A bit muted on the nose for the first few hours, this eventually opened up with some raspberry fruit to go along with its mineral backbone. Not quite worth what I paid for it but not terrible either.. — a month ago
This wine has a light ruby tint to it. The nose is gorgeous. Fruit is the star, cherry and strawberry aromas, but a delicious earthy note adds complexity. The palate is just as juicy, and an earthy note pulls the fruit together here as well. The tannins are fairly tame, but the acidity is refreshing. Overall, it's a great wine for sipping, salads, or seafood. — 3 months ago

Pascal et Nicolas Reverdy – Sancerre Rosé “Terre de Maimbray” 2016
Loire Valley, France 🇫🇷
Overview
From the limestone-rich slopes of Maimbray, Reverdy crafts this 100% Pinot Noir rosé, showing how Sancerre can shine not only in whites but also in elegant, age-worthy rosés. Though Sancerre is world-famous for Sauvignon Blanc, about 20% of its vineyards are planted to Pinot Noir, which can be vinified as red or rosé. This bottle demonstrates just how gracefully a Loire rosé can evolve with time.
Aromas & Flavors
Wild strawberry, raspberry, and redcurrant with rose petals and dried herbs. With age, subtle tones of candied orange peel and a light spice develop, adding dimension without overpowering.
Mouthfeel
Silky and rounded, with acidity still intact to keep it lively. Medium-bodied with a savory edge, balancing freshness and maturity.
Food Pairing
Perfect alongside charcuterie, grilled salmon, or roast chicken. The evolved texture also makes it a great partner for mushroom risotto or lentil dishes.
Verdict
A rare aged rosé that proves Pinot Noir from Sancerre can deliver both finesse and staying power. Still vibrant after 9 years, this wine highlights Reverdy’s skill and the region’s versatility beyond Sauvignon Blanc. — 20 days ago
