Totally delicious, sweet, light. Everything you would expect from a Brut champagne. Compare with Moët. Will add this to my favorites! — 9 years ago

l'Oiselet Saint-Chinian Red Blend

Interesting blend. The ‘17 still had a touch too much acidity in ‘23, but I can see it’ll knit nicely as it goes on. Individual wine from a personal vision, meant for the long run. — 3 years ago

Les Enseignères Puligny-Montrachet Chardonnay 2017

Really good. Lemons, deft use of oak. A bit of vanilla. Very pleasurable. Enjoyed with grilled salmon, grilled corn, rice and Cole slaw. — 5 years ago

Plan de Dieu par Côtes du Rhône Villages Red Rhône Blend 2012

One of my favorite dinners was on the menu here at Chez Skip - cassoulet! And my knowledge of wine pairing is as sophisticated as a toddler eating spaghetti, I said to myself - hey I am eating French food and I like this French wine, so hey why not? And that was that. But as wine can be, it evoked its memory of when I had it first. I remember sitting out in the patio and being impressed with it. I thought to myself I could really enjoy French wines, but as history has shown, that was clearly a short lived notion.

Knowing it had been some time, I had an odd feeling, so I checked my Delectable history. Indeed, this was the very first wine I had rated!

So, to my friends, do you remember your first wine on here? Was it anything memorable?

Rich floral summer bouquet on a hot sunny day, tart mealy apples, pears, honeysuckle palate with a lightly prickly finish that has a touch of leathery earth. Really elegant and pretty wine ☀️ — 4 years ago

Suffered from being poured next to the Pelletier, but very nice in its own right. Red fruit and bitter earth. Quite lifted and bright. Very fun wine. — 7 years ago

This wine would be like the withholding partner who, when they showed up, literally charmed the pants off of you.
