An absolutely fabulous and unique rose unlike any other Californian Sangiovese rose. — 4 years ago

Deep ruby; pronounced intensity aromas of vinyl, tar, earth, and leather upon pouring; more fruit as it opens up, blackberry, black plum, cocoa; dry, medium acid, high tannins, medium alcohol, full, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium plus finish, this is a BIG wine, very complex and concentrated — 5 years ago
Leggermente più acido sarebbe perfetto. 16 anni portati bene — 6 years ago
Dark berries, violets, dirt, a little hot. — 9 months ago
Lots of history to this varietal from this place. It’s not a very common grape. And it’s name checked in the Shakespeare opera ‘Don Giovanni’. Says so on the label. Dark colored grape makes a dark colored wine. Almost black. It’s supposed to smell like violets according to my research. Not sure I know the smell of violets enough to place that. I’d say berry cobbler. And maybe blood orange. Mushrooms? Flavors are dry, simple and elegant. Reminds me of some good Southern Italian stuff I’ve had. Plenty tart. Lower alcohol at 12.5%. This is interesting and strange stuff. Thanks Grocery Outlet for bringing stuff like this to the masses. — 4 years ago

Spezie, fiori, erbe, petali appassiti. Leggermente sbilanciato sull’alcol, ma servito più fresco non si percepisce. Super — 5 years ago

A different way of understanding #sangiovese and the #terroir of #Tuscany elegance and finesse. — 6 years ago
I describe wines like this as “soft”, meaning it’s not acidic. It’s fruity and delicious! — 5 months ago

Fruity and pleasant, maybe a little too dry? — 3 years ago
— 5 years ago
Oh my Etna Rosso! Per favore dammi di più! 😆
This is a beautiful light-bodied red from the island of Sicily, Italy. It’s a Nerello Mascalese-Nerello Cappuccio blend. 🍇 🍷
With a medium ruby hue this wine offers tart strawberry, cherry, raspberry, violet, wet moss, and mineral notes. It has bright, pure fruit character and good acidity making it a lovely food-pairing wine. 👌👌👌
Pairing it with a sweet corn agnolotti and a fettuccine al uni dish. Beauteous! Voglio di più!🙏🙏🙏
