Wow a treat! Color is a dark beautiful cranberry. On the nose: essence of dark fruit and sweet floral jump from the glass with primary notes of roasted meat, wet forest floral and subtle chocolate mint. Taste: silky smooth and luscious coating the palate with red fruit, cedar, earthy soil, crushed rock and minerals with a medium plus spice dark chocolate finish. A bit reductive/flinty. Textural, mineral. Not giving up much fruit. High acid. Thankfully none of that cheap NZ gooseberry or cat piss. Pretty nice now with food. I think it I’ll save my next bottle until 2026. — 6 months ago
