Opened about 8 hours prior to service and Audouze’d. The 1989 pours a deep garnet color with a transparent core and a slightly watery rim; medium viscosity and light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated black and red fruits: brambles, poblano pepper, smoked and candied pork belly, leather, mint, damp decomposing earth, gentle spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and still pretty grippy. What’s wild is how relatively “modern” this wine comes across; especially considering the more humble Côtes de Bourg appellation. Drink now. — 2 years ago

Amazing everyday one for $22. Goes down smooth, good flavor. Named after the dog of the cellar. — 8 years ago
Nosing and dipping my lips in the glass only. Served with a roasted lamb leg and beans. Superb pairing. Chalk, cherry, raspberry, pepper, bramble... this is superb and deep. The palate is acid driven, showing cherry and raspberry notes. It's very youthful and light in style. It goes very well with the lamb. — 7 months ago
Is hard to imagine how anything could be much better from nose to lingering finish. But, I'll keep searching for the perfect dram. — 5 years ago

This Grenache rosé throws delightful aromas of fresh strawberry, white flowers, and hint of freshly cut grass. Follows with a lively acidity and flavors of strawberry, raspberry, and a bit of smooth creme fraiche on a surprisingly long finish. Stellar pairing with balsamic glazed pork chops and roasted sweet potato! [10/3/23] ($19) — 3 years ago
