Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2023

Really fun Sauvignon Blanc - had the typical lemon zest but had harder minerals to make it fuller and fun! Bought at BP. Maybe buy again! — 7 months ago

Patrick Sullivan

Rain Baw Baw Shire Pinot Noir Blend

Remember helping to bottle the 2020 vintage of this at Pat’s winery last January when the world was a very different place... drinking it now is taking me right back there. Chilling it is kinda the way to go. — 4 years ago

Château Féret-Lambert

Red Bordeaux Blend 2020

Enjoyed this one with a classic French meal of steak and béarnaise with roasted carrots and dauphinois potatoes. Hints of oak and cherry and red currants. Lots of merlot keeps it soft and supple. One guys comment was “tart cherries peel through the windows in the rain-slicked cobblestone alley.” Quite poetic and really accurate. There is a wet stone quality to this wine that appeals to me. Enjoyed and would drink again. — 3 months ago

Château L'Eglise-Clinet

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 1999

Raised a glass tonight to owner and winemaker Denis Durantou who passed in May. We were fortunate to meet him for a tasting and tour of his property back in 2012....a wonderful person, great winemaker with a sly sense of humor....jokingly told us Chateau Petrus knew it was time to pick their fruit when they would look over and see him picking his fruit😂.

1.5 hour decant (lots of chunky sediment). A superb dark garnet color with some bricking. On the nose: Very Expressive! with forest floor, plum, sweet vanilla, earthy, floral, and band aids. Taste: A soft medium body wine with plum/strawberry, minerals, crushed rocks, leading to a dry pencil lead finish. Well Done in a "difficult" vintage ( though many in Pomerol picked before all the Sept. rain).
