Def a respect. Delicious warm doesn’t need to be cold. No strong taste, light red wine — a year ago
100% PN. Based on 2011, Disg. 01/2014, 9.5 g/l dosage. Don't know why I thought this showed so sweet last time. On the nose: sweet apple, honey, apple pie, soft marzipan. On the palate: very good acidity, more sweet apple, marzipan, meyer lemon and good density. Much better showing than the last bottle. Apparently this just needed a few years of bottle age to settle. Lovely now. — 3 years ago
Medium ruby garnet, still quite young looking , garnet rim . Quite sweet sous bois , with some spice , cedar and earthy cigar notes , almost liquorice hint. Touch smoky on the palate , with a more roasted red fruit hint on the palate . Quite rounded sweet tannin , balanced acidity and ok length . This is at the end of its drinking window apparently, still showing ok , and held up quite well in the glass , shows quite a lot of the warmth of the vintage . It reminded me of the 1990 in that respect, though is overall more complex and longer on the palate than that vintage . Drink now and over the next few years , I don’t see this improving from here. — a month ago
Took me a while to decide if I liked this or not. Still not sure really. At times this feels like a great California expression of good white burgundy - puligny perhaps - from a producer we obviously respect. But at other times the buttery lanolin notes are too much for me, and overall the acid was one notch less than I was hoping. Still a nice wine. — 2 years ago

I showed this wine some respect today. First I carefully decanted it, as I rarely do. The nose displayed spice box with cardamon, cloves and a hint of cedar. The palate was powerful and dense. Loads of mature blueberries and black fruits. Tannins are bolt upright. Acidity is perfectly poised. Finishes sweet and with texture. For a second wine, it’s a crime. Has another 5-10 years of runway ahead of it. This is a serious wine. — a month ago
