Roda 1 is one of my go to Rioja loves 💗 & is superb for the money @ £35-£40 😉 The 01, 04 & 05 were all top wines 👍 The 2011 is showing well & a great example of a modern Rioja 👍 Nit a deep as other vintages & more fresher but fab still 😎

👄 Med body of creamy dark cherry bathed in cocoa w/ a black berry fruit & raspberry kick evolving into sone prune & date tones as it opens after a few hours - the Grenache brings a lovely freshness to this vintage 👍

This is in a tie for the best Portuguese dry red with Pera Manca and Barca Velha. Very classical register, no new wood you can detect. Rich, bold, but complex and profound.
