See previous note from January 2022. Has lost its primary red fruited characters of raspberry and strawberry from its youth. More musky and earthy these days. From 72 year old Grenache vines in the Old McDonald vineyard in McLaren Vale. Steve Pannells winemaking touch still evident with excellent material - a great combination. — 2 years ago
Bought to make Negronis, and great on its own. Lots of acidity, paired well with two white pizzas — 4 years ago

2019 vintage. Very pretty and perfumed representation of the variety. Red fruit flavors of lingonberry, raspberry, wild strawberry with rose petals, stemmy herbal thing, incense, and sandalwood. Pinot Noir drinker's Grenache. Officially the coolest wine label I've seen in a while! — 3 years ago

This wine made from the Nosiola grape was a pleasant surprise and a delightful wine This 2016 vintage was drank in June 2024 at 8 years was nicely balanced between dry and sweet. It was crisp with a lingering taste of stone fruit. Look forward to tasting this wine again. — 5 months ago
See previous Delectable notes in 2017 and 2019. Quite a rich Ruby red. Aromatics of black and blue fruits, a cranberry note with a tarry charcoal note on nose and palate. HH said coal dust and I totally agree. Steve Pannell is recognised as Australia’s premium maker of alternative varieties and this wine proves that. We made his Nebbiolo the champion wine of the Toowoomba Wine Show a couple of years ago. Have the last one in say 2 years time. — 3 years ago
