Rancho Guejito Vineyard Rosé Blend 2018

Lemon-grapefruit aroma and flavor with a smooth finish, nice introduction to a sparkling rosé from a part of CA not as famous for wine — 16 days ago

Rim Rock Syrah 2011

This could have sat down for many more years. Tasted like a cote roti, big bold blue and red fruits with smoke, blood, dried meat and herbs — 3 months ago

San Benito County Mataro 2021

Popped and poured, consumed over two days. Consistent throughout. The 2021 Mataro, San Benito County pours a deep ruby color moving toward magenta rim and a near opaque core. Medium viscosity with very light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine explodes with fresh, perfectly ripe bramble fruits: black berries and raspberries, purple flowers, black pepper, crushed rocky earth with limestone minerals and subtle warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. The tannins are almost silky…but sneaky. Confirming the notes from the nose and the raspberries are even more obvious right now. The finish is long. This is an awesome Mataro that’s drinking really well right now and I anticipate a bright future too. Drink now through 3036. — 6 months ago

Force of Nature Red Blend 2020

Recommend to me as a cheap crowd pleaser and it sure holds up. Full of fruit and fairly sweet—great for a movie night with friends but would be disappointing alone. — a month ago

Calleri Vineyard Negrette 2013

Dark with a slightest of rusty-brown edge on the deep maroon center. Hint of funk. Cooked plum fruits and fresh herbal stuff. Flavors are very ‘winey’. Apple- black berry baked dessert with a hint of chocolate mint. Tannins are tongue dry. This has some character. Fleshy. Rustic. Fun. Not sure what the standard for Negrette is, but this is an interesting bottle of unfamiliar wine. — 3 months ago
