Fay Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Beautiful color; more red tint than SLV. Fabulous nose, with dark red fruit, raspberries, and fig. Coats the palate with luscious red fruit, dark cherry, spice, oak, and faint taste of charcoal. Silky tannins with a dry finish. Really nice cab. — 10 days ago

Welcome trade to Pebble Beach Food & Wine.

This was good but the SLV showed much better. Love the espresso notes. Good pair with the Gator Sausage.

Floral bouquet, smooth, rich and velvety texture, hint of strawberry and tart plum, light yet rich enough to pair with a creamy pasta dish. — 2 years ago

Carteria Valtellina Superiore Valgella Nebbiolo 2014

2020/5/24 with grilled ribeye, eringi with fennel, tarragon and chives, whitebait aglio olio and radicchio salad. This had a wonderful balance of taut structure and fruit intensity, while still remaining light and translucent. That, with the red fruit and spice nose, gave it an almost Burgundian feel - it was also quite distinct from the other Fay bottles. — 6 years ago
